Looking to explore Comox Lake by kayak? Throughout the summer, we will have kayak and canoe rentals available at the Comox Lake campground. Our kayaking kiosk is located beside the campground office.

We have a variety of boats to accommodate different skill levels and ages. Explore shoreline beaches, rivers, and other features of Comox Lake. Flat water paddling is a great way to introduce yourself to this amazing recreational pursuit.

If you would like to rent a kayak but are not all that confident, Pathways offers private instruction prior to the rental to get you up and running right away! Private instruction is billed at $25/hour (not including your rental). Private instruction usually takes up to two hours and is available for up to 2 people. You can also sign up for our Kayaking Intro and learn the skills you will require to confidently paddle on your own.

You have to be 19 to rent a boat, or accompanied by an adult. All rentals are for Comox Lake only and we offer a variety of times depending on how long you would like to explore. We usually start our day by 11:00 am and we ask that boats be back in by 8:00 pm.

We also take reservations if you know when you would like to rent a kayak; highly recommended for weekend rentals. If you would like an early rental in the morning, we also recommend that you call so that we can accommodate a time that will work best for you. Mornings and evenings are great times to paddle on Comox Lake as it is much slower and quieter on the lake.
